Habits for healthful living
Eating for good health.There is probably no one health habit that is so important to your
total health as getting the proper foods in the proper amounts.You have seen how poor nutrition
can lead to poor teeth,weak bone structure,and lack of muscle tone. Even your eyes may suffer from
deficiencies in your diet,particularly of Vitamin A.Good food is always the first consideration
in caring for the organs of your body.Food supplies the energy you need for daily living,the building
matter for growth and development,and the materails essential to regulate and maintain body functions.
Furthermore,unless you get the proper foods,you are likely to be listless.nervous,and irritable.
    The appetite of a healthy person nearly always makes him eat enough food to give him the energy
he needs.It takes a combination of foods,however,to keep your body going.You know what foods you must have
for a balanced diet.In addition to eating the right foods,there are other things you can do to help your body
digest and absorb your food.Here are some of them:
-1. Eat at regular times.
-2. Chew your food well.
-3. Eat in surroundings you enjoy.
-4. If you are very tried,rest before eating.
-5. Do not exercise immediately after a meal.
-6. Drink plenty of liquid daily,including water.
-7. Eat foods for bulk every day.
