Community health services. You depend upon your community for many health services. The community must make sure that supply of food and water is pure. It must dispose of sewage and garbage. Contagious diseases must be kept under control. Health departments and agencies perform these functions at the local, state, and national levels.Although they are well organized and manned by able people, community health agencies need your support. Remmember that the rules they make are to protect you, as well as to protect others in your community.
